Our Engagement Process
The Initial Consultation with Our Caregivers
After you call us, a service coordinator will take time to sit down with you and assess your short term as well as your long term needs. We ask questions to determine what your ‘Must Have’s’ and your ‘Nice to Have’s’ are. You may need someone for a very short period of time, maybe a few hours for a special occasion or you may require a live-in caregiver. We have both female and male aides. In some cases, a caregiver with a driver’s license might be necessity. To get a holistic picture of needs, we often consult with the physician(s) of the care recipient, social workers, hospitals or nursing home staff. Based on the outcome of that meeting, we develop an individual tailor made plan just for you or your loved one.
Meeting your Caregiver
Precious Hands allows you to choose your preferred caregiver to match your needs and encourages you to personally contact their references.
The caregiver you have selected will then visit your home, or if applicable, a hospital or rehabilitation facility for training i.e. dietary concerns, physical therapy plans prior to the client’s discharge.
Upon starting work, our caregiver will be monitored with telephone calls and site visits to ensure the highest client satisfaction. We welcome reciprocal communication and would love to hear from you. Do not hesitate to call the office to provide your experience feedback.
